Your Library Card

Library cards are provided free of charge to all residents of our district, as part of your tax-supported library services. Your card gives you borrowing privileges here and at most public libraries in Illinois, access to special online resources, and more. Click here to learn how to get a library card.

Interlibrary Loan

If you need a book, DVD, or other item that we don't have, ask us to borrow it from another library for you.  Materails borrowed through interlibrary loan have a circulation period that is determined by the mending library, not the Ladd Public Library.  We are happy to borrow materials from other libraries for you, but we ask that you respect the date by which those materials must be returned to their home libraries.  It is crucial that materials borrowed through interlibrary loan be returned in a timely manner.  Habitual failure to do so may result in individual loss of  the privilege in order to preserve the privilege for other library patrons.

Computers

The Ladd Public Library has three computers available for public use.  Everyone who uses a library computer must follow our policy regarding computer and Internet use.

Photocopiers and Fax Machine

Photocopiers and a fax machine are located at the circulation desk.  Fees for copies are $.25 per sheet, $.50 for 11 X17 sheets.  Fees to send a fax are $2.00 for the first sheet, $1.00 for each additional sheet.  Fees to recelve a fax are $1.00 for the first sheet, $.50 for  each additional sheet.  Fees for an international fax are $25.00 per sheet.
